Food Service
Many of our volunteers work in the kitchen or dining room. They wash and slice fruits and vegetables, prepare coffee and milk, serve plates, wipe tables, empty trash and wash dishes.

Clothing and Hygiene
Everyday dozens of men and women come to the mission to take a shower and receive a change of clothes. Volunteers are essential in providing these services. They sort and size clothing, prepare hygiene packs and help with the laundry.

Driving
Volunteers go to Food Bank to pick up groceries. They go to Safeway, Costco, Starbucks, Hansens, Longs and other store to pick up donations. Sometimes they drive to a hotel, restaurant or school to pick up food. Each day they drive to a nearby to take snacks to low-income kids in an after school program.

Others Provide-
Administrative Support: phones, clerical, data entry
Maintenance: painting, plumbing, carpentry
Special Projects Work: Walk for Hunger or Christmas in July
Advisory Services: Legal Counseling
Leadership: Members of the Board of Directors

We are always looking for:

• Drivers: 7:30 - 11:00am
• Food Servers: 1:00 - 3:00pm
• Kitchen Assistants: anytime
• Clothing Department: anytime
• Telephone Receptionists: anytime
• General Helpers for Cleanup: anytime
